The Captain's Hat

I am the master of this ship,
I’ll be in charge throughout the trip.
You lot will do just as I say,
It can’t be any other way.

Now stand aside and let me think.
Without my skill the boat may sink,
So I really do have to know
Just what to do and where to go.

Admire my poise before the mast,
Until we reach our port at last.
That’s when you get to go ashore
And I will be in charge no more.
