Haunting Silence

A cold whispering silence rings throughout the room
That fateful day still haunts.
Freedom at last she has found
No more pain, no more suffering.
Yet in the darkest corners of midnight, her eyes he still sees.

In the darkest corners of midnight, her eyes he still sees.
Memories fill his days with great happiness
But with nightfall,
Nightmares and torture fill his soul.
The haunting silence weighs heavy on his heart.

The haunting silence screams terrifyingly loud.
Will she ever forgive?
Will he ever forgive himself?
Her eyes he still sees.
In the darkest corners of midnight, haunting silence still torments.
