Night Walker

Calisto has lost everything. Except his life. In 1775 he gave up his faith, his God and finally his own mortality after the death of, Tala, the Kumeyaay woman he loved, and their unborn child. He became a Night Walker in the hope of one day finding Tala when she lived again, hoping for one more chance at happiness. He has now waited over 200 years in the coastal city of San Diego, not far from the Mission De Alcala where his story began, but when her path finally does cross his, Kate Bradley is mortal and in love with another man.

Meanwhile, a tiny monastery in Spain has been sending monks to watch the Night Walker ever since they learned of his existence in 1775. They feel partially responsible for his existence since one of their own had ordered Tala to be killed. Now they watch him from afar to be certain he does not unleash another blood drinker into the world. After the death of their last watcher, the monastery sends Father Mentigo to spy on Calisto. But Father Mentigo isn’t like the other monks. He has dark secrets and ambitions of his own. He thirsts for power and is looking for any opportunity to gain the Night Walker’s immortality and make it his own.

Calisto’s battle has begun. Can he watch Kate from a distance? Can he live knowing she rests in another man’s arms? His love led her to her death a lifetime before. Would he lose her again? Or will he love her enough to send her away? Can he stop destiny from repeating itself?
