Aging is a gift that is denied to some. No doubt, we each have precious memories and wrinkled photos that take us back to our childhood days. But we also have the love of an eternal God that will see us safely to the end of this life . . . and beyond.

Excerpt (posted with permission by author)

I emancipated my quivering upper arms in the heat of a June Georgia day and I have never regretted my decision. The only thing I regret is the amount of time I spend hiding a part of me because I feared laughter and rejection.

We humans are quite funny and can go a little crazy over silly things. Jiggling upper arms can be embarrassing, of course. But if I really want to worry about something, it should be the hungry, the homeless, those plagued by disease, and living in a world without peace. There are so many who desperately need everything from heart transplants to love and acceptance. Many are praying for money to pay the bills while others face the pain of broken families and relationships. Others are without God and seek meaning for their lives. When I consider these things, I am embarrassed at the time and torment misspent on a pair of wiggling upper arms.

So I am on my way to Wal-Mart where I will ask an associate to point me to the tank tops. Plus size. And I want one in every color.
