I make my living teaching English and Japanese at Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah. Some people think I'm crazy for loving my job as much as I do, but I think teenagers are great. Yes, they are kind of stupid some (most) of the time, but that's what makes them so fun to be around. It helps, too, that I am perpetually 17 years old myself. As far as my English classes go, I teach two sections of sophomore English, and for seniors I have two sections of Creative Writing and two sections of Science Fiction literature. Add the two sections of Japanese, and I think it is safe to say that I teach all the cool classes. I have a wonderful wife and three beautiful children ages 15, 11, and 8 months.

I earned a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Media Education from Brigham Young University, and I have had two Fantasy novels published by Bladestar Publishing.

I love to hunt, fish, camp, hike--pretty much anything lets me be in the mountains. I have two yellow labradors named Zak and Jake who like to chase pheasants and grouse. I am also a beekeeper, and I enjoy gardening. This year I am growing fifteen different varieties of tomatos. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and watching the remake of Battlestar Galactica.

Life's tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.
