Inspirational speaker/writer Sheila L. Jackson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana where she still resides with her husband and two daughters. She graduated from Booker T. Washington H.S. Sheila is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from ULM of Monroe, La and an Associate of Science degree from Southern University, Shreveport, La.

Mrs. Jackson is the author of “The Enemy Within” and “Through the Eyes of God”. She has penned many articles, such as: Only the Strong Survive, Count it all Joy, and Suffering in Silence, which appeared in Dream Magazine. Sheila also wrote: Voting Booths, allows you to speak now or forever hold your peace (during the 2008 presidential election) for the Shreveport Times. Mrs. Jackson is an anointed speaker, teacher, and writer that utilize her gifts to carry the Word of God to those in need of spiritual soul food.

Through her writing she has touched many lives, because too often people are afraid to open up and get the help they need; for fear of being talked about and put down. But reading her written words has given them the courage to stand. Her motto is: “I want more out of life than just to exist.” She knows that God has created us all for a divine purpose and her purpose is to inspire and motivate others through written words.

Sheila L. Jackson’s first book, The Enemy Within, was released in May 2007. It stems from the Apostle Paul’s writing that says, “When I would do good, evil is present with me (Roman 7:21).” The Enemy Within exposes the power struggles that we have between the flesh and the spirit man within us. The stakes are high; you should choose this day which of the two powers will win control over your life. The decision is yours, but the cost is everlasting.

Her second book, Through the Eyes of God, was released in November 2009. It’s quoted from King David, when he says, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14).” It exposes the people and places —community, family, friends, workplace and church— that are responsible for causing feelings of unworthiness and self-hatred. It Ideals with how we allow others to validate us and set standards that are unobtainable. And when we fail to meet those standards our self-ideal fails, which causes self-esteem issues.

Sheila L. Jackson has appeared on KTBS-TV, Comcast Cable Station, and KOKA with Barbara Norton (State Representative) & Curtis Wright, 1340 Super-Talk with Tom Pace, KMJJ, and From Bondage to Freedom radio/studio broadcasts. Along with her media and radio appearances/interviews, she has also appeared in The Forum, SB Magazine, Dream Magazine, Urban Faith Magazine and The Shreveport Times. Mrs. Jackson has had countless book Signings and speaking engagements in the Ark-LA-Tex.
