About Me:
I run a website called http://bookstolistento.com that offers writers of publication ready material a platform to sell their works as audiobooks, eBooks. Writers can set up "publisher" accounts, upload their own audiobooks/eBooks and set their own prices. We take a tiny commission (GB£0.40 plus 10%) and remit the rest to the author/publisher by the 8th of the following month
What are you waiting for! Format your book as an eBook - or record it as an audiobook - and upload it now. Don't wait for others! Those who get in first will make the most sales! People buy eBook readers and MP3 players for Christmas presents - and my site is the perfect place to sell your CONTENT to go with it!
In order to ensure that every new title gets a fair "crack of the whip" we send out newly uploaded audiobooks and eBooks to 12 random customers who have expressed a preference for that genre. When the book has received seven initial reviews, it Goes Live!
Reviews are structured to include indices like "sound quality" "characterization" "pace" and "gender bias" and these indices are \aggregated to give customers an at a glance average assessment by reviewers. Reviewers can also indicate "similar to" authors and books and customers can search for these with the advanced search engine to find authors and books similar to their favourites.
All books and customers participate in our three-for-one offer. For every three copies sold and reviewed a fourth is given free to a random (eligible) customer. Customers become eligible by buying and reviewing three other books. This incentivizes reviews and brings more books and authors to a wider public.
As for my own background, I am a published author of thrillers (Hodder) and non-fiction (Greenzone). I developed a course in writing thrillers for the London School of Journalism and tutored that course for several years.
